Audition Notice

Shaun Keylock Company and Conduit Dance, Inc. (Portland, OR. USA) seek professional dance artists well-versed in classical ballet and modern dance forms, aged 21 and above, for project-based contracts.

All gender expressions, racial identities, and sexual orientations are encouraged to apply.

** For the 2024/25 season, SKC has an immediate position available for a male dancer to join the cast of Recharged (Jun 19-23) and PORT (Oct 9-13).

Eligibility for Audition

  • Dancers must have a minimum of two years of professional dance experience or related training to apply.

  • Dancers must be available on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays from 10am to 3pm, plus occasional weekends for performances and events.

  • Dancers must be at least 21 years of age or older.

  • Prior experience with the historical traditions of Merce Cunningham, William Forsythe, and José Limón is desired.

  • While SKC is not limited to hiring only Portland based dancers, the company cannot provide US visas, travel, accommodations, or other living expenses in connection with this audition or future employment with the company.

  • SKC requires all dancers and staff to be fully-vaccinated against COVID-19 and to be up to date on all vaccine boosters.

Salary

SKC offers a paid, part-time contract equal to approximately $600 per month + $100 bonus per show or performance.

Dancers rehearse 9 hours per week and perform 2-4 times per year.
